Local Cemeteries
The District Council of Karoonda East Murray is responsible for the care and management of cemeteries across the district. Our cemeteries provide peaceful resting places that honour the history and heritage of our communities.
Karoonda Cemetery
The Karoonda Cemetery is located south-east of Karoonda on Bruce Road.
In 1992 the Karoonda Apex Club erected a Granite Memorial Wall at the Karoonda Cemetery to provide the people of our community with an alternative to burial.
A second memorial wall was erected by Council in 2011, with a third installed in 2025.
Galga Cemetery
The Galga Cemetery is located north-east of Karoonda on the Bakara Road.
Bakara Cemetery
Located on the Bakara Well Road, Bakara.
