Council Announces CEO Transition

Today we announce that our Chief Executive Officer, Scott Reardon, has resigned from his position after accepting a new career opportunity.

While we are naturally disappointed to see Scott leave, we are incredibly grateful for the leadership, professionalism and commitment he has shown to the District Council of Karoonda East Murray over the past two years. Scott has played a significant role in strengthening our organisation and helping position Council well for the future.

The good news is that Scott will remain with Council over the coming months, allowing plenty of time for a thorough handover and a smooth transition. During this time, Council will also commence the process of recruitment for the CEO role.

Our priority is to ensure there is no disruption to Council services or the delivery of projects, and our community can be assured that business will continue as usual throughout this transition.

On behalf of the Elected Members, staff and the wider community, we sincerely thank Scott for his contribution and wish him every success in his new role. We look forward to formally recognising and celebrating his service before he departs later this year.
