Council Information Sessions
Information/Briefing Sessions are held at 6:00pm each month prior to an Ordinary Meeting of Council, in the Karoonda Council Chambers located at 11 Railway Terrace, Karoonda SA 5307
These sessions are designed to provide history, context or additional information to assist council members to carry out their functions.
Regulation 4 of the Local Government (General) (Review) Variation Regulations 2021 revokes the previous requirements set out in Regulation 8AB of the General Regulations, and for the purposes of new section 90A(7)(b) inserts a requirement for the following information to be published on a website determined by the CEO as soon as practicable after the holding of an information or briefing session.
Members of the public are able to attend as observers only and can’t take part in the discussion unless specifically invited to do so.
