Community Vision 2040
The District Council of Karoonda East Murray's Community Vision 2040, is the first long-term vision developed collaboratively with the community. The document outlines the aspirations and priorities of residents and provides a framework to guide the future development of the district.
Community Vision 2040 was informed by extensive consultation, including workshops, focus groups, and written submissions conducted between December 2018 and August 2019. Feedback from residents was analysed and distilled into six core themes, which represent the key values and objectives identified during the consultation process.
The document is intended to guide Council’s planning framework, ensuring that short- and medium-term planning aligns with long-term community goals. It also provides a reference for community groups, local businesses, and stakeholders to inform their own planning and initiatives.
