This event will help you to get a better understanding of what banks want to know and how to communicate with them when it comes to your Farming or Small Business.
Topics will include;
*Different types of budgets – cashflow, P & L etc
*Banks – what do they want and how to communicate with them – including the importance of different ratios. Possibly different types of capital/equipment loans and pros and cons.
*Driving more from your accountants and the work they do for you. Can we “trust” the financial reports from your accountant or from the bookkeeper ie make management decisions based on the once a year package.
*    Assessing what your accountant provides – differences between tax accounting and management accounting and BAS type information.
*    Difference between personal and business finances and when the two are allowed to be merged. When should we be 1) doing our business tax planning and 2) lodging our tax return – does it matter?
*     Key benchmarks/rules of thumb etc. for farming and small business.
