Due to the current COVID-19 health situation, the Karoonda Community Library is closed to community customers only entering the library from March 20 until further notice.

Students are able to access the library as per normal. All items returned will be quarantined for at least 3 days. We encourage our community users to continue placing HOLDS by accessing the catalogue on our website - www.onecard.network/karoonda or on the Libraries SA app. All holds are quarantined in the Australia Post sortation facility in Adelaide for a minimum of 3 days prior to being sent out.

At this stage library hours remain the same: Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm.

As our priority is the safety of our library customers, the following procedures will be implemented for the safe collection and return of items. You can choose either of the following methods:

  1. CALL & COLLECT: Call the library 8578 1120 or email us at karoonda.library@gmail.com and ask us to choose a selection of items (eg favourite authors, new items, try an author you haven’t read before) OR search our catalogue and tell us which items you would like OR place your own holds after searching the catalogue. You will receive notification via email when your hold arrives. Tell us when you would like to collect your items and we will borrow them to you then leave them on our Call & Collect table near the rear door of the library (just in front of the library carpark). Any returns can be left in the box on the table. From today all items are automatically borrowed for 6 weeks.
  2. HOME DELIVERY: If you are unable to use our Call & Collect service and you live in Karoonda, contact us and we can organise to deliver items to your home.
